        Roddy Doble

        Joined Boston Ballet in 2013

        Born in Southbury, CT, Roddy Doble completed the majority of his training at the School of Performing Arts in New Milford, Connecticut, under the direction of Arlene Begelman and Robert Maiorano. Is studies include extensive work in ballet, modern, tap, and jazz with Elizabeth Parkinson, Mary Ann Lamb, and Mary MacLeod. During this time, he appeared as a guest artist and choreographer for the Danbury Music Center and the Danbury Symphony Orchestra. 

        In 2005, Doble attended American Ballet Theatre's Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School, as well as their 2005 and 2006 Summer Intensives in New York. During this time, he appeared as a guest artist with the American Ballet Theatre Studio Company on tour in Irvine, California in Ballet Pacifica's The Nutcracker. In early 2006, Doble studied at the School of American Ballet and Stiefel and Students on Martha's Vineyard. 

        Doble joined the American Ballet Theatre Studio Company in August of 2006, and was soon named a Chisholm Foundation Scholar. He was promoted to apprentice with American Ballet Theatre in December 2007 and to the corps de ballet in June 2008. In addition to performing in the 2010 New York International Ballet Competition Gala, he has appeared as a guest artist in various schools and companies locally and abroad. Doble left American Ballet Theatre in 2013. During his career there, he toured much of the United States and the world, and danced many soloist and principal roles. He joined Boston Ballet as a company dancer in 2013.
