        Joined Boston Ballet in 2013

        Yoko Callegari of Yorktown Heights, New York trained  at Studio Maestro with Deborah Wingert and Francois  Perron. She began her professional career at  the Washington Ballet where she danced for two seasons.  She was then invited to join Angel Corella’s company,  Barcelona Ballet, where she performed for five years.

        During her time with Barcelona Ballet, Callegari’s repertoire included Natalia Makarova’s La Bayadère; Twyla Tharp’s In The Upper Room; Marius Petipa’s The Sleeping Beauty; Christopher Wheeldon’s DGV and Henry the VIII; and Angel Corella’s Swan Lake, among others.

        She joined Boston Ballet during the spring of 2013, and has since performed in Jiří Kylián’s Symphony of Psalms; George Balanchine’s Serenade, Symphony in C, and Coppélia; and Marius Petipa’s The Sleeping Beauty.
