        Andrea Gregori

        Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Andrea Gregori graduated from the Maria Olenewa State School before becoming a trainee student for two years at Joffrey Ballet. She trained with prestigious teachers including Eliana Karen, Tatiana Leskova, Eugenia Feodorova, Ramona de Saa, Meredith Baylis, Hector Zaraspe, and David Howard.

        Gregori is certified in the Cuban (Escuela Nacional de Ballet) and English (Royal Academy of Dance) methodologies of ballet. She studied extensively in the Russian methodology at Vaganova Academy. She is also certified for American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Curriculum from Primary through Level 7 and Partnering.

        In addition to her experience as a professional ballet teacher, Gregori has assisted in the production of a variety of full-length ballets, such as Giselle, The Nutcracker, Coppelia, and Sleeping Beauty, as well as in the staging of many other shorter suites and children’s performances. For seven years, Gregori directed Escola Paulista de Dança, in São Paulo, Brazil, where she was also choreographer, producer, and costume and scenery designer for a total of eight ballet productions.
