Kristin Beckwith has a bachelor’s degree in dance from The Boston Conservatory in Boston, Massachusetts, a master’s degree in dance history from Goddard College in Vermont, and a certification in Labanotation from the Dance Notation Bureau in New York City.
Before coming to Boston Ballet, she taught at Tufts University from 1976 to 1986 and at several private studios in the Boston area, while also choreographing and performing.
As a dance historian, she has contributed four articles to International Dictionary of Ballet: Nikolai Legat, Agrippina Vaganova, Flore et Zéphire, and The Little Humpbacked Horse.
