        • Housing
Students aged 12-14 are housed at Lasell College, a small private college in Newton, MA. The beautiful New England campus setting is just a few miles outside Boston and provides a focused environment for students to concentrate on their dance studies while also providing access to Boston. Students participate in chaperoned off-campus outings. Options will include small group excursions for shopping, movies, or entertainment in the city of Boston. Housing is not available for students ages 10-11. Students aged 10-11 with local accommodations through family or friends are welcome to attend the program.

          Residential Staff
The student to residential staff ratio is approximately 10:1. Our residential program is designed to offer the best balance of structure and fun appropriate for an adolescent population. Residential Counselors are available to talk with students and offer friendly support while adjusting to life away from home. A professional nurse is on staff in the dorms and the studios. The Residential Life office is staffed 19 hours a day, and three rotating staff members are on-call 24 hours a day. Students carry a Boston Ballet School student ID with pertinent phone numbers at all times.

          Dining
The residential student meal plan consists of breakfast, bagged lunch and dinner Monday through Friday. Brunch and dinner are provided on Saturday and Sunday. The dining hall is a short walk from the dorm. A sample lunch may include, (but will not be limited to), a salad or sandwich to-go, a piece of fruit, a whole wheat bagel, and a bottled drink.

          Weekend Activities
In addition to dorm activities, Boston Ballet School plans optional weekend outings for all residential and commuter students. Members of the residential staff chaperone activities and transportation is provided. Activities are optional, and spaces are limited and are filled on a first come first served basis. Students must pre-purchase tickets to these activities. Students have the opportunity to go on any or all of the exciting weekend activities.

          Past SDP Activities have included:
          Red Sox game
Day trips to local beaches and Cape Cod
Performances at Saratoga Performing Arts Center and Jacob's Pillow
          Six Flags and Water Country
Chartered Dinner Dance Cruise on Boston Harbor
